Our Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab Program puts a committed team on your side, focused on helping you manage the effects of cardiac or pulmonary disease and returning you home to your previous lifestyle.
YOUR GOALS ARE OUR GOALS
Your rehab team includes our experienced clinical staff as well as physical, occupation and speech therapists. This team, along with your doctor, will develop a comprehensive, individualized, intensive treatment program specifically designed to:.
- Increase your ability to perform daily activities
- Reduce symptoms, such as shortness of breath, and self-manage risk factors
- Maximize activity tolerance
- Help you manage your medications
- Develop an appropriate home health discharge plan including compensatory strategies
- Establish a home exercise program

- Cardio-Pulmonary Endurance Training Lower/Upper Body Ergometers
- Progressive Ambulation and Gait Training on varied surfaces
- Lower extremity strengthening / endurance with resistance equipment
- Strength and Balance Training and progressive balance exercise program
- Energy conservation with relaxation exercises and breathing techniques
- Mobility Training for safe transfers from beds and chairs
- Activities of Daily Living Training: Bathing/showering techniques (with incision management);
- Dressing and hygiene with use of adaptive equipment
- Pain Management therapies including Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation and Massage
- Speech and Language therapies that treat Cardio-Pulmonary-related swallowing dysfunction
- Patient and family training for Home Exercise Program upon discharge
